What are you playing?

Post what videogames you've been playing recently!

For me, mostly Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Sine Mora, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Dungeon Defenders. Also recently acquired a copy of F-Zero GX but it hasn't arrived yet.

Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 1, The Walking Dead, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Sleeping Dogs, Star Wars: Dark Forces, Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I also really want to play Chrono Trigger again (got half way through on the DS before my brother had to take it back).

These are all the ones I want to finish.

I'm playing through the COD4 campaign lolol, and I've almost beaten it. It's the first time I've ever actually sat down and played through it, even though I bought the game on Day 1. I'm also playing Assassin's Creed 2 for the first time ever. I beat the first AC a few weeks ago. Again, I've owned these games forever and have never taken the time to actually play them all the way through.

Now when you say Super Smash Bros. Melee... You're not trying to be competetive are you? Those people... They turn off items. I can't be friends with people who turn off items.

On another note, I've been spending my time playing Bayonetta, Fallout 3, Ace Attorney - Apollo Justice, and lately when I'm at home I'll play Tales of Maj'eyal on Steam.

Well I enjoy not getting screwed over by RNG. But I'm far from good enough to play competitively. Might play with items if I had anyone to play against but as is I'm just trying to get better at the game. If it helps you feel better, my main is Yoshi.

The World Ends With You on my tablet. Also, Bravely Default, Persona 4 Golden, Pokemon Y, Pokemon X, 3D Space Harrier and 3D Galaxy Force II, Grinsia. Oh, I got Goat Simulator yesterday, I'm gonna play that once I get some time.

Also, there's probably at least 20 more that I'm not thinking of off the top of my head.

And I just started on both of those games. So you would win, even after the levels are the same. Therefore, I accept your challenge and immediately surrender. YOU WIN.

Man, being a pokemon master is totally overrated. The anime and games make it seem all cool and stuff but the truth is nobody ever wants to battle you because they know that they're not gonna win because it's not really a fair game. IT'S LIKE A CURSE.

Just picked up these bad boys for $10. GameStop gave me a good deal for the first time in my life.

Off-topic: what is that keyboard I spy? The musical one, not the computer one (I don't really care about that one, no offense).

I'm offended that you're completely disregarding my pride and joy, the Dell SK-8115 L100 USB Computer Keyboard - 0DJ331.

But actually, the keyboard is a Korg SP500 that I got back in like 2003. It's what I use for basically every one of my recordings, really solid weighted keyboard in general.

That's cool. I'm stuck on a piece of hardware that's around a decade older than I am - an Ensoniq ESQ-1.

I just started playing Hitman: Codename 47 again, after a very long time. Memories man...

I suddenly got a irresistable urge to play it and had to look in the collection of old PC games!

Well, my Samsung LED TV broke just as I was about to start playing Uncharted. We had a massive storm blow through the Midwest a couple nights ago and a power surge blew up our TV and cable box. I guess I'm back to playing computer games for the time being. :(

I just hate the weight limit. Like half of the time when I'm playing this I'm just waddling around at half a mile per hour because there's so much stuff to pick up and not taking everything would be a waste.

My current game playing habits consist of Pokemon X, Sixty Second Shooter Prime, a little bit of Titanfall and Mario Kart 8. This changes quite regularly.

My TV is still broken. It's a $150 fix. That's a lot of money. Until I put enough money aside to hire the TV repairman, I went to my Steam library and beat Sam & Max episodes 1 and 2 last night. Super fun, endearing games that feature smart comedy and an expansive vocabulary.

Sam: My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas.
Max: Me too.

Well, after a lot of drama, my F-Zero GX arrived today so I'll be playing that from now on. Should be cool.

No "should" about it. That game's graphics and gameplay still hold up well, and it's over ten years old. If you know how, rip the ISO and play in at least 720p in Dolphin. (It has widescreen support already.) You won't be disappointed.

    • awesome review . i like how you never discard UFG regacy forum  .
    • Let's just get right into it, shall we? Sonic Mania
Platforms: PC-Steam, PlayStation 4 (reviewed), Xbox One, Switch
      Developer: Christian Whitehead/headCANNON/PagodaWest Games
      Publisher: SEGA
Release date: August 15, 2017 (PS4/XB1/Switch), delaying the PC version is just another bullshit excuse from Sega and them pretending that Sonic was ever good (PC)
      Price upon release: $19.99
Buy it: Oh no Sonic Mania is the latest in the Sonic series of games going back to 1991 that were released on Sega systems. They were considered revolutionary at the time, blending the platforming action of Mario with the speed of 3-D World Runner. As you can tell, it's an incredibly derivative game design and it's amazing anyone ever found it revolutionary in the first place. The first game in the series was called "Sonic the Hedgehog," an unimaginative title which just spells out the name of the character. Sonic 1 is a non issue, it's just a terrible game. Anyways, if Sonic was ever good, which he wasn't, and if you think he ever was you like to have sex with Big the Cat, the only good ones were the 2D ones like Sonic 1 or Sonic 2. I remember when I was a kid going through Green Hill Zone from Sonic 2, that was pretty fun. But it's pretty clear Sonic lost his way after they stopped making 2D games in 1998 with Sonic Adventure, and every single Sonic game since has been awful. I mean, just look at Sonic Adventure. How can this pass as a modern game? Janky animations, lousy voice acting, and a convoluted story. What year is this? And let's not forget the abominations that were Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom. Those three games cement just how far Sonic has fallen and how his 3D games have never, ever been good. I mentioned earlier that Sonic was never good in the first place, but he was neverer good in the 3D games. Like, seriously, I can't stress enough how there was never a good 3D Sonic game. It's like Sega took a nap from 1994 to 2017. Actually, they're still napping, because the beautiful game that is Sonic Mania wasn't even made by Sega. It's a glorified fangame that just so happens to be out on consoles. But I guess it's pretty good, if you like this kind of game. It looks nice, at least, but all it does for me is proves how Sonic was never good in the first place. There are enemies that pop up before you even have a chance to react and if you're not prepared, BOOM, there go all of your coins. I think it's stupid how Sonic loses his coins whenever he gets hurt. Why can't it be something like Mario where you keep all of your coins even when you die? It's easier to get extra lives that way. Mario is way better than Sonic. Mario was always way better than Sonic. Quick, try and say there's ever been a bad Mario game ever. Time's up, and as of writing this there are no comments below the post so the polls are closed. Kind of like Yooka-Laylee, the dated mechanics of Sonic Mania show through just how dreadful of a game series this always was. It's time to put down Sonic. He needs to die. That's why my score for Sonic Mania is 10/10. This score is reserved for some of the best of the best games out there and I'm proud to give it to such a terrible game series as Sonic which doesn't deserve this rating. I rescind my 10/10 rating and give it an 11/10 that it clearly deserves much more for being a terrible game. (Working on a real review, including pictures of the Collector's Edition for Steam. It should be up Soon™)
